Suffering and Loss of a Loved One
Uploading ....
Just as much if not more so than anguish recovery groups assists in discussing our damages, loneliness and perhaps anger following the loss of a loved one, so can a Bible study group, prayer group, etc. support our faith and this can be tenuous at this time. As we must have extra help and support from our friends to handle the unusual wide range of pain surrounding the loss of a dear friend, therefore we need extra time with God and along with other fellow Christ-followers to bolster our faith. This is a time when we may question our commitment and thus allow Satan to develop a foothold by causing us to focus on our anger or additional pessimistic emotions. Such focus can endanger our faith. It will probably prevent us from trusting God. Some Christians, just like C. S. Lewis, have attested having lost their dedication. For this reason need to be taken preventative measures to safeguard our faith. After all, faith in Christ is our basic foundation and it is critical that we take care of it.
